What can I turn down?

I want to turn down the noise in my working week so I have more room to think. Below is a messy list of everything that regularly comes at me: meetings, messages, reports, check-ins, and things I'm holding in my head. 1. Sort every item into one of four piles, with one line of reason each: → Cut: nobody needs it, or nobody would miss it. → Hand over: someone else could own it. Say who, or what kind of person. → Hand to AI: AI could draft, summarise, prep or keep track of it. Only suggest things I could hand over by pasting them in or with tools I already use, and say what still needs me to check it. → Keep: it needs my brain. If an item could go to a person or to AI, pick whichever frees me up sooner. 2. Be honest. Question anything I'm probably doing out of habit, and don't cut anything that would cause real harm if it stopped. 3. Tell me the one thing to turn down first: the one that gives me the most room to think. One answer, not a list, and say why. 4. If turning that one thing down affects someone, draft a short, warm message telling them. Under 80 words. Don't add anything to my week. No new tools, systems, routines or meetings. If you can't judge an item without more context, give me your best view and ask me, three questions at most. Keep the whole reply short enough to read in two minutes. My list: [paste your list here]
